第13回国際ESDフォーラムが開催されました

2025年12月4日に、第13回国際ESDフォーラムが開催されました。本フォーラムは、本学教育学部が連携大学と共に開始したもので、2021年に本学とフィリピン、タイ、インドネシアの5大学が「JPTI6 Sustainable Development Consortium」を立ち上げて以降は、コンソーシアム事業の一つとして毎年開催されています。また、コンソーシアム立ち上げと同時に、未来社会デザイン機構サステナビリティセンターと国際連携推進機構が本学の窓口となっています。

今回は、フィリピンのマリアノマルコス州立大学MMSUを幹事校に、テーマ「Education 2030とその先– 持続可能な開発目標を通じた地球規模課題への対応における教育の役割(Education 2030 and Beyond – The Role of Education in Addressing Global Challenges through Sustainable Development Goals)」のもと、MMSUのキャンパスを会場にオンライン形式と併せてのハイブリッド方式でフォーラムが開催されました。昨年に続き対面を含む開催形式となり、本学からも現地参加とオンライン参加となりました(会場参加およそ50人、オンライン参加約60人)。

開会式では、幹事校MMSUのVirgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr.学長およびコンソーシアム構成大学の学長・代表からの挨拶に続いて、フィリピン高等教育委員会第1地域局長Dr. Cherrie Melanie Ancheta-Diegoによる基調講演、さらにパネルディスカッションが開催され、構成大学から登壇した討論者がSDGsに向けた各大学の取組を紹介しました。本学からは堂囿俊彦サステナビリティセンター長が参加しました。

午後には四つのパラレルセッションにおいて各大学からの発表が行われ、本学からは以下の発表がありました。セッションごとのまとめ報告が行われ、盛会のうちに終了となりました。

On December 4, 2025, the 13th International ESD Forum was held. This forum was initiated by the Faculty of Education at Shizuoka University, together with partner universities, and has been held annually as one of the consortium projects since 2021 when Shizuoka University and five universities from Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia founded the JPTI6 Sustainable Development Consortium (JPTI6 SDC). At the same time as the Consortium was launched, the Sustainability Center of the Design for Future Society and the Organization for International Collaboration have served as the contact point for JPTI6 SDC.

This year's forum, the 13th, was held under the theme “Education 2030 and Beyond – The Role of Education in Addressing Global Challenges through Sustainable Development Goals” with Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) as the organizing institution. The forum was held in a hybrid format following last year, combining online participation with an on-site venue at MMSU's campus, with participants from Shizuoka attending both on-site and online (in total, approximately 50 attendees on-site and about 60 online participants).

The opening ceremony featured opening remarks by President of MMSU, Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr., followed by the greetings from presidents and representatives of the consortium member universities. This was followed by a keynote address by Dr. Cherrie Melanie Ancheta-Diego, Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office I (CHEDRO1), and a panel discussion where speakers from member universities introduced their institutions' initiatives toward the SDGs: on behalf of Shizuoka University, Prof. Toshihiko Dozono, Director of the Sustainability Center participated.

In the afternoon, presentations from each university were held across four parallel sessions. Our university made the following presentations. Summary reports were given for each session, and the event concluded successfully.
